Be Prepared

The cub scout motto, if memory serves correctly, is to “be prepared.”  A meeting was nearly 10 minutes late getting started today, because the person running it had lost a critical piece of paper.  What if this meeting was time sensitive or mission critical?  Obviously, it would look pretty bad.

If you’re running a meeting, here are some tips for always making sure you have your deliverables:

  • Write it down
  • Print out multiple copies
  • Email it to yourself
  • Text yourself critical facts
  • Give a copy to a friend (who’s also going to be at the meeting)
