Being innovative in your job search can help separate yourself form the competition.

Joshua Persky, an out-of-work banker who became a symbol of the looming financial crisis by trudging Manhattan streets wearing a sign advertising “MIT grad for hire” has landed on his feet – scoring a well-paying job at an accounting firm, reports the NY Post.

Joshua’s effort reminds us to be, and stay, innovative when searching for jobs, especially since so many others are.

  1. Don’t forget about newspapers
  2. Utilize your network
  3. Start a blog and build authority and reputation
  4. Publish your resume on Scribd and email to contacts
